Gambling
The Gambling Act 2004 and the Racing Act 2003 require Waipa District Council to give consent for the location and operation of certain venues within its District before a licence is issued by the Department of Internal Affairs. These are Class four gambling venues where gaming machines (“pokies”) are operated, and Board Venues such as “TAB’s’.
