Planning
The Operative Waipa District Plan contains policies, rules and other methods to guide development in our District. The plan controls the effects of using land resources including subdivision.
If you wish to use land in a manner which does not comply with a rule in the District Plan you will need to apply for a resource consent. Resource consents are processed by the Planning Department, generally within twenty (20) working days. More significant consents (notified) can take longer to process.
