Council has 12 standing committees to set policy and guide the Council in the fulfilment of its responsibilities.
All Council and committee meetings are open to the public unless there is a reason to consider some item/s 'in committee' where the public are excluded. That means that these items are deemed to be confidential and members of the public will be asked to leave the room until discussion on the item/s has been completed. Although meetings are open to the public, members of the public do not have speaking rights unless prior arrangements have been made with Council.
