DRAFT TOWN CONCEPT PLANS & DRAFT ENVIRONMENT STRATEGY

Waipa District Council is currently consulting on Draft Town Concept Plans and a Draft Environment Strategy.
Waipa District Council has prepared Draft Town Plans for Cambridge, Te Awamutu and Kihikihi, Pirongia and Ohaupo. The Town Plans provide a blue print for future development and the look and feel of these places to 2050.
The purpose of the Environment Strategy is to provide key directions on environmental issues in the District. The Environment Strategy will be developed in two phases. The first stage will focus on goals, issues and potential actions. The second phase will involve the preparation of an Action Plan.
The Council is currently seeking feedback on these draft documents. Submissions close at 5pm on 20th November 2009.
