The Youth Awards cover five main categories

- Sport
- Multi-Achiever Award for success in more than one of the individual categories
Young people in the Waipa District aged 14 to 18 years between 1 February 2006 to 31 January 2007 (inclusive) are eligible provided they have resided or have attended school in the Waipa District for at least six months of that year. Nomination forms have been posted to all schools and key community groups and an Awards evening will be held on 3 August 2007. Winners will receive a certificate and sponsored prize.
Nomination forms are alos available from Waipa District Council Offices in Te Awamutu and Cambridge and from both public libraries.
Nominations close Monday 30 April 2007.
