The Cambridge Community Arts Council met recently to allocate its first round of Creative Communities Scheme grants for 2008. Eight applications totalling $12,516 were received and grants totalling $7,100 from available funds were awarded to:
Cambridge Creative Fibre $300
Cambridge East School PTA $300
Cambridge Municipal Band $2,000
Cambridge Society of Arts $2,000
Synergy (Cambridge) Trust $2,500
The arts council has its next round of grants in September 2008.
