Recently the Cambridge Community Arts Council met to allocate its first round of Creative Communities Scheme grants for 2009. Nine applications totalling $14,336 were received and grants totalling $7,400 from available funds were awarded.
Cambridge Autumn Festival Trust $1,000;
Cambridge Brass Band $500;
Cambridge Community Marae (taniko panels) $1,400;
Cambridge Creative Fibre $200;
Cambridge Elim Community Trust (arts materials) $300;
Synergy (Cambridge) Trust (Christmas concert) $3,000;
Gail Drake - Weird & Wacky Exhibition $1,000.
The arts council has its next round of grants in September 2009.
