District Promotion fund applications now open



Waipa District Council is now accepting applications for the next District Promotion funding round.  This round is for events scheduled up until 30 June 2009.

The purpose of the fund is to support events that benefit the residents and ratepayers of the Waipa District.  Events must be held entirely in the district, and applicants must be able to demonstrate that they will increase the wellbeing of the people of Waipa, by promoting the district as a great place to live, work, invest in and visit.

Successful applications are also likely to be for large scale public events that seek a national or international market, or medium-scale public events with a strong regional focus.

Information packs, including application forms and eligibility criteria, are available from either Council office or may be downloaded from Council’s website www.waipadc.govt.nz
