The 07/08 Christmas/New Year period saw 65 complaints filed in regards to stereo, bass and party noise. This was an increase of 14 complaints, up from 51 complaints in 06/07.
As a result at least 2 properties are likely to be facing further action, but most were resolved without any problems. The workload for Council’s Noise Control Officers was evenly split between Te Awamutu and Cambridge.
The Christmas/New Year period covers 21 December until 3 January.
