The Pirongia Consultative Committee met recently to consider community grant applications. This year there were 20 applications from the Pirongia Ward, requesting $43,730 in funding from a pool of $15,810.
Successful applicants were:
Girl Guiding NZ $300; Hamilton Pistol Club $800; Lower Mangapiko Streamcare Group $1,000; Ohaupo Bowling & Associated Clubs $800; Ohaupo Memorial Hall - Anzac services $500; Ohaupo Rugby & Sports Club $1,000; Parentline Charitable Trust $500; Pirongia Forest Park Lodge Society $1,500; Pirongia Historic Visitor Centre $1,500; Pirongia Te Aroaro o Kahu Restoration Society $500; Rukuhia Community Hall $1,200; Te Awamutu Brass Band $500; Te Awamutu Rowing Club $1,000; Te Rore Hall $1,500; Waipa Mountain Bike Club $500; Otawhao Marae Community $500; Ngahinapouri School PTA $500.
The next funding round is in August 2010.
