Two projects get underway this week to improve access to Victoria Park and Pioneer Walk.
A footpath is to be constructed between the Croquet Club car park off Bank St, and Teasdale St. It will cross the park between the croquet greens and the bowling greens, providing all weather access for walkers and disability scooter users.
The second project is a paved access from the intersection of Gorst Avenue and Selwyn Lane, providing a significant entry point to Pioneer Walk from the car parking available in Gorst Avenue. The gradient of the path will allow use by wheelchairs and mobility scooters.
Both projects are being funded from the Reserve Development program, and have been contracted to Kingan Landscaping.
