Waipa District Libraries now online

Great news for Waipa District Library patrons – the library catalogue is now online!

Library members will now be able to search the library’s catalogue, access their library records, renew items on loan and reserve library items all via the internet.  They will also be able to see other features such as best seller and new book lists, recommended reading and links to useful websites.

Waipa District Council Libraries Manager Alison Gordon is delighted with the flexibility of the new system, and how it will enhance current services.

“All our current services will continue as normal, but we are always striving to improve and extend the range of resources and services on offer, and the internet is a really popular medium that we wanted to link into”.

As well as library staff being available to answer queries, there are also a range of help options available.

“We will be holding free tutorials at both libraries on a Tuesday and Thursday, 11am – 11.30am or by appointment until the end of April, and there are also ‘how to’ brochures and online assistance”.

The online catalogue can be found at www.waipadc.govt.nz  or at your local library in Te Awamutu or Cambridge.
