We’d like to hear from you about those things you want preserved, or which you regard as important. It may be something that is not publicly known – a small patch of bush, a land site of significance, an old or special building, a series of stories, or a special cultural event.
We’d like to know about them all, so that we can build up as complete a record as possible of such things, and also so that we can ensure buildings, places and special items are not lost simply because no-one cared about them.
If you have heritage concerns or suggestions you think are important, please let us know. It is the policy of Waipa District Council to be proactive in the conservation, restoration, preservation and enhancement of the diversity and wealth of heritage in its area.
Write to us at Waipa Heritage Council, C/o Private Bag 2402, Te Awamutu, marked for the attention of the Heritage Development Manager; phone us on (07) 872-0030; or email tony.roxburgh@waipadc.govt.nz
