Plan Change 7 – C1, C2 and C3 Structure Plans

Plan Change 7 rezones all of the C2 and C3 Growth Cells zoned as Rural to Deferred Residential and Deferred Commercial. The Plan Change also adopts Structure Plans for growth cells C1, C2 and C3 and makes associated amendments to the District Plan. These changes are to Sections 2 (Residential Zone), 6 (Commercial Zone), 15 (Development and Subdivision), 21 (Assessment Criteria) and the addition of Appendix S19 (the C1 and C2/C3 Structure Plans). Included are updates to the District Planning Maps. Figure 1 below shows the three structure plan areas.

Plan Change 7 is important in providing for the planned and staged growth of Cambridge and takes into account the requirements of the National Policy Statement on Urban Development Capacity (NPSUDC).
