Community Discretionary Fund

​​Are you part of a community group looking for support with local projects? We provide discretionary funds to support community organisations who offer services or support in the Waipa district. 

Allocation of these funds is ​done at the start of each financial year, through our Cambridge and Te Awamutu Community Boards and the Pirongia Ward Committee. Applications for the Community Discretionary Fund 2017 closed 31 August, and allocation of discretionary funds to successful applicants is made in September.

The boards and committee may also accept requests for funds during the year on a case-by-case basis.

When completing the application please select the most relevant ward to where your group resides or carries out its activities: View the ward map. 

Accountability report

Successful grant recipients are required to submit an accountability report once their grant has been spent before 30 June of the year following the grant.

Promoting your public events

If your community organisation is hosting an event, workshop, fundraiser or open day and you need some extra promotion that's affordable, then head along to Waipa's only district-wide events calendar, whatsonwaipa.co.nz, and promote your event for free!

The site offers promotion, venue ideas and tips and tricks for a  successful event.

All you need to do is sign up, list your event details, add a photo and it's good to go! So, What's on Waipa?
