Creative Communities Funding

Let's get creative, Waipa!

The Creative Communities Scheme April 2017 round is open for applications, closing April 30th.

We have a partnership with Creative New Zealand to promote, support and increase participation in community arts and cultural activities in the Waipa district. Each year Creative New Zealand provides Creative Communities Scheme funding to Council to distribute.

There are two funding rounds a year, closing the last working day of April and September. There is no maximum amount you can apply for, however grants usually range between $200 - $2,000.

Any group, organisation or individual that can meet the grant criteria can apply; however grants are not for individual gain.

The Creative Communities Scheme grants are allocated by an assessment committee made up of members of the Community Arts Councils in Te Awamutu and Cambridge and members of the public from local community arts and cultural groups. Successful applicants will be notified in the month following closing date.

If you have previously received a grant, please ensure your organisation has completed and submitted the Project Report form below. The form needs to be returned within two months after the project/event is completed. This is a requirement before future funding will be considered.

Join the Creative Waikato ARTillery workshops

Creative Waikato has been funded by Creative New Zealand to develop a suite of workshops, ARTillery, delivered to artists and arts groups across the Waikato region.

ARTillery workshops are designed to give you the skills you need to succeed as an artist or group.

These are FREE, interactive, practical workshops that have been designed so that participants work on their own project during the workshop and can immediately apply in the real world.
