​​​​ANZAC and Armistice Commemorations 2017

Council has committed funds to go toward commemorating ANZAC and Armistice (2017) and WWI centenary commemorations (2018-2019). These are two separate funds.

ANZAC and Armistice (2017)

For projects that commemorate ANZAC and Armistice in the form of a project that benefits the community, in 2017. This funding round has now closed.​

Council's Strategic Planning and Policy Committee will review applications and allocate funding.

Successful grant recipients are required to submit an accountability report once their grant has been spent, due by 20 December 2017. The report will be online and at offices after the fund has been allocated.

WW100 Commemorations (2018-2019)

For projects occurring February 2018 – December 2019 that mark the centenary of WWI with commemorative projects that benefit the community.

  • The funding round wil be notified late 2017.

Promoting your organisation's public events

If your community organisation is hosting an event, workshop, fundraiser or open day and you need some extra promotion that's affordable, then head along to Waipa's only district-wide events calendar www.WhatsOnWaipa.co.nz and promote your event for free!

The site offers tips and tricks for a  successful event include venue ideas and help with publicity..

All you need to do is sign up, list your event details with a photo and it's good to go!
