Recycling in Waipā will continue to run as normal while New Zealand is at alert level 2.
Throughout alert level 2, your yellow mixed recycling bin will to be collected fortnightly and blue glass recycling bin collected every four weeks as normal. Please continue to put your recycling on the kerb by 7am.
Ensure only empty and clean recycling is put into your recycling bin and that it is placed on the kerb correctly. Wheelie bins need to be close to the roadside with at least one bin space between bins and away from objects such as trees or light poles. The Waipā logo must also be facing the road. This will mean your bins wont need to be touched in order to be serviced. Please help keep the crew safe by placing your bin so it can be serviced mechanically.
If you have any concerns or your recycling hasn’t been collected, please call us on 0800 WAIPADC (924 723).
Assisted service and collections on narrow roads, and difficult accessways
Our assisted recycling service and collections on narrow roads and lanes will resume at alert level 2. Please put your recycling on the kerb as normal.
While not operated by Council, rubbish collection is also an essential service and will continue to be collected throughout alert level 2. Rubbish enquiries should be directed to individual service providers.
