Pay your rates

Step 1: Invoice

You will receive your rates invoice by email or mail. The invoice will be sent on the first day of the month they are due. For example, if the due date is on 21 August, then we will send you the invoice on 1 August.

If you pay your rates by direct debit weekly, fortnightly or monthly, you will only receive your first rates notice for the year's rates in July.

Step 2: Pay your property rates

You can pay your rates invoice online, set up a direct debit online or pay in person at one of our Council offices.

When paying your invoice, have your Property ID number and account number handy. The numbers will be on your invoice.

You can find your property ID number on your invoice or online. Follow these steps to find your property ID online:

  • Visit the rates information webpage,
  • Type your property address in the search bar,
  • The property ID will appear under your property address on the left-hand side of the screen.

Windcave is compliant with PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards) and evidence of compliance is available on their website. Please check your personal bank’s policy to determine their level of support for the use of third-party providers.
