Stormwater pipe upgrade programme
SH3 – Fraser to Mandeno Street, Te Awamutu
Work is now underway to upgrade the existing stormwater pipes on the section of State Highway 3 between Mandeno Street & Fraser Street, Te Awamutu after Covid lockdown and rain delays as well as unexpected underground service. This is part of our annual programme to upgrade and maintain our essential stormwater network to continue to cope with the effects of heavy rainfall events.
Traffic management will be in place during the day and an overnight detour between 7.30pm and 6.30am on two evenings during this work, diverting south-bound traffic from SH3 down Carlton and Mandeno Streets before joining back to SH3. Please follow the traffic flow as directed.
Resident and pedestrian access will be maintained while this work takes place.
