C2, C3 development – new watermain connection
Update 09/04/21 9.50am: A temporary water connection is now in place, but residents on Kelly Road and Maranatha Way may experience low pressure over the weekend until we can put a permanent fix in place.
We have also flushed the pipes which may result in some sediment/discolouration of water. This is caused by natural build-up inside pipes (including household pipes) and is still safe for consumption. You may wish to run an outside tap until the water runs clear and use this water on the garden or for other purposes.

Update 09/04/21 8.30am: Residents on Kelly Road and Maranatha Way may be experiencing an unexpected water outage following the work to connect these new pipes. We are expecting to have the issue resolved by 11am, Friday 9 April.
Please note a water cart is situated on Kelly Road for those who wish to collect drinking water.
We would like to apologise for the inconvenience and thank residents for their patience and understanding while we fix the issue.
-------
We are connecting the new watermains for the C2 and C3 developments into the existing water supply on Wednesday 7 April and Thursday 8 April 2021. While this takes place, we expect there will be no disruptions to the water supply for most residents, however, some residents close to the connection points may experience changes in water pressure at times.
In order to complete the new connections, a water shutdown will be required and will occur on both evenings from 9.30 pm for a scheduled period of four hours. Residents in the affected areas have been notified via a letter drop of the expected outages. For residents who are unable to be without running water for this time, a water tank will be available to provide drinking water for residents to collect in a suitable clean and sterilised container.
Once the water is back on, we recommend you undertake the following:
- If you notice discoloured water once the water is turned back on, please run your outside tap into a bucket for a few minutes before using your inside taps. This will help get rid of any sediment that has entered the pipes and you can use this excess water for your plants.
- If you notice cloudy water, this is a result of excess air in the water line. If you let it sit, the air will rise and water will become clear - this does not present a health risk.
- If any problems occur when we are completing the job we may need to extend the time the water is turned off.
We thank you for your patience and understanding while we undertake this essential water connection.
