Te Awamutu and Pirongia to conserve water
After a very wet night, we’re asking everyone in Te Awamutu and Pirongia to please conserve water.
We have a suspected leak at our Te Tahi water treatment plant, and using less water will help ensure there’s enough supply for everyone while our team investigates.
💧 The water remains safe to drink, and our wastewater systems are operating normally.
📞 Please report any concerns to our team on 0800 924 723, they are available 24/7.
We’ll provide another update by midday.
There is still significant surface flooding across the western side of the district, and our roading teams are out investigating conditions.
