Water shutdown - Tainui Terrace and Pakura Street, Te Awamutu

Water will be turned off to some properties on Pakura Street and Tainui Terrace, Te Awamutu on Wednesday, April 1 from 9am to 3pm, while we complete essential maintenance work on the watermains.

Upgrading the existing watermains will continue to provide an efficient, safe water supply to the community. It will also improve the water quality and taste.

If you will be home during the shutdown, we recommend you store water for daily tasks.

We'll let you know ahead of time if there are any changes.

We will flush the main pipes once the water is turned back on. This can cause air bubbles to become trapped. We suggest running your outside taps and capturing the water in a bucket to reuse in the garden.
