Submissions for the draft Maungatautari Reserve Management Plan are now closed and the He Mahere Moo Maungatautari - Maungatautari Reserve Management Plan was approved by Council under delegation from the Minister of Conservation in August 2021. Feedback was open from 25 May 2020 until 5pm Friday 31 July 2020.
Maungatautari Scenic Reserve is an iconic and special place for the Waipā district and New Zealand.
Waipā District Council manages the Maungatautari Scenic Reserve and is responsible for preparing a Reserve Management Plan (RMP) to outline the future use, management and development of the Reserve.
During early engagement in 2015 the community gave us their ideas and suggestions on what they wanted to see in the draft RMP for Maungatautari Scenic Reserve. These suggestions were carefully considered and where possible have been included. We are now seeking your feedback on the draft Maungatautari RMP.
