Waipā libraries booked up for Website Week
Waipā libraries are set to be buzzing with activity for a week of fun events to celebrate the launch of a new website.
For the last 12 years the district’s two libraries, in Cambridge and Te Awamutu, have had a temporary website with limited information.
But a new website - www.waipalibraries.org.nz - has been built to improve customer experience for library users.
The new and improved and user-friendly website features news, event information and integration with the library database.
One of the new features is an event search to find details of activities for children, teenagers and adults like Toddler Time, Makerspace, author talks and upcoming workshops and meetings.
Library supervisor Rachel Newnes said the website would make searching for information much easier.
“Our two libraries are incredibly important hubs in the Waipā district,” she said.
“They provide a welcoming space for residents to gather and learn new things, explore wonderful stories and get creative.”
“Our new website is a major step forward in making our wonderful resources, events and information more accessible to the public.”
To celebrate the launch of the new website, the libraries will be hosting Website Week, a week-long series of fun, interactive daily activities, kicking off on 4 November.
