Waipā Community Boards
Waipā has two Community Boards, one in Te Awamutu covering the Te Awamutu and Kakepuku wards and one in Cambridge covering the Cambridge and Maungatautari Wards.

The role of a Community Board is to act as an advocate for the community on Council matters. The Boards are governed under the provisions of Local Government Act 2002 and adopt Standing Orders for the conduct of their meetings.
Is your community group looking for support for its next project?
Community Boards allocate the Waipa Community Discretionary Fund to help community organisations who offer services or support in Waipā. The next funding round opens on 7 February 2022 and closes at 5pm, 19 March 2022.
Pirongia, Ngāhinapōuri, Te Pahu, Kaipaki and Ōhaupō are governed by Pirongia Ward Committee.
