Waipā Community Boards
Waipā has two Community Boards, one in Te Awamutu-Kihikihi covering the Te Awamutu-Kihikihi and Kakepuku subdivisions and one in Cambridge covering the Cambridge and Maungatautari subdivisions.
The role of a Community Board is to act as an advocate for the community on Council matters. The Boards are governed under the provisions of Local Government Act 2002 and adopt Standing Orders for the conduct of their meetings.
Is your community group looking for support for its next project?
Community Boards allocate the Waipa Community Discretionary Fund to help community organisations who offer services or support in Waipā.
Pirongia, Ngāhinapōuri, Te Pahu and Ōhaupō are governed by Pirongia Ward Committee.
