District Promotion Fund

The District Promotion Fund supports events that promote and benefit the wellbeing of the Waipā​ district and its people. The fund is limited and a competitive process where priority will be given to applications that best meet the defined eligibility and criteria.  ​​

Applications are now closed for the 2019/20 funding round. 

Please note, if you are a previously successful applicant to the District Promotion or Community Event Fund committee you will need to have completed a post event report for that event to be eligible for this new funding round.

Holding an event in Waipā?

All event organisers intending to hold an event in the Waipā district also need to complete an event application form, whether or not they are successful in receiving a grant, or apply for a grant. This application form is included in the District Promotion Fund Application Pack and can be found here.

What's on Waipa has you covered! Head along to Waipā's only district-wide events calendar whatsonwaipa.co.nz and promote your event for free! The site offers promotion, venue ideas, and tips and tricks for a successful event.

All you need to do is sign up, list your event details, add a photo and it's good to go. You can also check out Waipā's organiser tool-kit for all the tips and tricks you need to know about holding an event in any of Waipā's​ towns.
