We manage Waipā's roads and footpaths to ensure that they are safe, well maintained and provide for the efficient movement of people and goods within the district.
We have nearly 500,000m2 of footpath valued at $57M. Of our 221km of urban streets most have a footpath on one or both sides.
We replace approximately 1.2km-2.0km length of footpath each year, being those older paths in poorest condition.
We are the primary service provider for the construction and maintenance of the local transport network within the district. Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency is responsible for the State Highway network.
