Water, Wastewater and Stormwater Connections
If you require a connection to Council's water, wastewater, or stormwater network for domestic, commercial, or industrial purposes, you will need to fill out an application form. This form is also used if you want to relocate a water meter.
Water connection
A standard water connection is defined as the installation of a new standard single 20mm diameter residential connection, up to 4 metres from a council-owned reticulated main (excluding trunk mains). All other connections will require a fixed quote from Waipā District Council. Only one connection is permitted per property.
Before you Apply
Keep the following points in mind when submitting your application:
- Legal description of the property and / or building consent number.
- A site plan showing the legal boundaries of the site and easements, as well as the desired location of the services connection.
- If your application is approved and you require a code compliance certificate (CCC) for your project. You then must ensure your connection is inspected and signed off for the CCC to be issued.
- You must pay the application fee for your application to be processed and the inspection fee before the inspection is completed.

Keep the following points in mind when submitting your application:
- For a connection to Council's pipes system to be approved, you must show that onsite soakage/disposal is not viable through soakage tests (this is usually part of your Stormwater Management plan).
