Let's get smarter about food waste!
Join us for a free Home Composting Workshop and learn simple, practical ways to compost your food scraps and reduce waste at home.
The interactive workshops are delivered by the Waste Minimisation team at Waipā District Council, and funded through the Central Government’s Waste Disposal Levy. They will introduce you to a range of composting methods, including traditional compost bins, worm farms and Bokashi systems.
You'll learn from experienced composters on how to set up and maintain these systems, troubleshoot common issues, and where to find ongoing support and information.
Everyone who attends will receive a $50 Mitre 10 discount voucher to put towards a compost bin, worm farm or Bokashi kit to help you get started with composting at home!*
Spaces are limited, so register early to secure your place. Registrations close Saturday, August 8.
This workshop is funded through Central Government’s Waste Disposal Levy, which supports projects that encourage reducing waste.
