Parks week 2023
Parks Week is about celebrating the vital role parks play in creating liveable cities and thriving communities. It focuses on how spending time in our parks and open spaces positively influences our wellbeing.

Monday 6 March
Find a $20 voucher for Red Kitchen and Paddock!

Tuesday 7 March
Bring your children down to Pioneer Park at 10:30am to meet some of the team and our equipment.
Wednesday 8 March
Bring your children down to Thornton Road Park at 12pm to meet some of the team and our equipment.
Thursday 9 March
Win a family pass to our local pools!
- One to be found in a Te Awamutu park or reserve for the Livingstone Aquatic Centre
- One to be found in a Cambridge park or reserve for the Perry Aquatic Centre
Friday 10 March
Get outside and read!
Hidden around our playgrounds will be 24 packs with a book and DVD vouchers for the Te Awamutu and Cambridge libraries for you and your family to enjoy.
Saturday 11 March
Predator Free Cambridge
Come and learn more about the predator control that volunteer group Predator Free Cambridge does for our parks in the Waipā and while you can make your own trap for your backyard!
It will be held at Lake Te Koo Utu, Cambridge - beside the BBQ area on Albert St.
The first 10 traps are free and we will be subsidising the first 30 traps to $15, after this traps will be $20.
If possible, please bring your own hammer.
