Elm tree removal in Cambridge
Road Works and Closures
Elm tree removals will be taking place between Gaslight Theatre and Alpha Street from Monday July 13 to Thursday July 16, between 8am and 4.30pm each day.
The affected trees have been infected with Dutch Elm Disease and need to be removed to help prevent the disease spreading to other elm trees in Cambridge.
During the work:
- Access to Gaslight Theatre will be closed
- The Alpha Street entrance to Te Awa River Ride will be closed, with a signed detour via Queen Street, Vogel Street and Resthaven
- Stop/go traffic management will operate on part of Alpha Street between Hall and Grey streets
