Total Mobility Scheme
Total Mobility is a door to door national transport scheme involving disability support agencies, taxi companies and councils. The scheme is designed to increase the mobility of people with disabilities, to allow equitable access to the community.
The scheme provides financial assistance, giving registered users a 50 percent discount on taxi fares. The total discount can be up to $12.50 for Waipā residents, the user pays the other part of the fare to the taxi driver.
People who use the scheme must carry a valid Total Mobility photo ID card to get the discounted fare. To find out more visit the BUSIT website.

This service is for transport of clients to Waikato and Te Kuiti Hospital outpatient clinics, and other medical specialist clinics in Hamilton. Their operating hours are Mon-Fri 8am – 5pm, and as this is a charitable organisation they are grateful for any donations client make to assist in the costs of running the service.

Driving Miss Daisy – Cambridge/Te Awamutu
A companion driving service. They will collect you, drive you to and from your destination, and provide whatever assistance you need, such as helping with your shopping or luggage. The Red Cross community transport service takes people from their homes to community appointments - for instance, to their doctor, hospital outpatient clinic, medical specialist or medical centre. All drivers are trained in first aid and provide assistance to and from the vehicle.
