Waipā District Council operates and maintains ten cemeteries across the district. All cemeteries are open for visiting 24 hours a day, all year round. Please be mindful of the times gates are locked to vehicles at night.
Te Awamutu, Hautapu and Leamington cemeteries have automatic gates that operate at the following times:
- Winter: 7am – 7pm
- Summer (daylight savings): 6am – 9.30pm (from the last Sunday in September to the first Sunday in April)
