Community funding available
4 August 2015
Waipa community groups have until the end of August to apply for funding from local community boards.
Both the Te Awamutu and Cambridge Community Boards, plus the Pirongia Ward Committee, have the discretion to allocate funding within a specific budget. Financial assistance usually ranges between $200 - $2000 but applications for larger amounts are considered.
Applications will only be accepted from not-for-profit groups which provide a local community service for the benefit of the wider Waipa community. This year, higher priority will be given to funding for local community projects as opposed to operating costs. Retrospective applications will not be accepted.
To apply for funding, groups must complete an official application form. Forms are available from council offices in Te Awamutu or Cambridge or can be downloaded from the Community Discretionary Fund page.
Late applications will not be accepted.
