Libraries offer more for holidays
9 April 2015Families don't need to go far to get a fix of fun and entertainment these holidays.
Waipa libraries have more than just fantastic reading material to offer, there's the added bonus of games, activities and even movies available until the end of the school holidays.
Although the libraries don't offer formal school holiday programmes during the Easter break, Library Supervisor Sheree Gross knows that free entertainment is quite a draw card for parents looking to keep children occupied during the holidays.
We like the idea of having something on offer for everyone. Parents can come in and spend some time scanning the aisles for reading material, while their children are kept entertained with games and all sorts, says Ms Gross.
We are always welcoming of all ages and love to see children coming in and utilising their local library. The free entertainment has been popular this week and we hope to see more in the library next week.
The games, activities and movies are on offer at your local library until Friday 17 April.
