Rates changes available online

Waipā's proposed rates rises for 2019/20 are now online.
Waipa District Council is proposing a 3.7% average rates rise, the same as they said in their 10-Year Plan.
The draft Annual Plan shows Council is largely on track to deliver what they said they would in the 10-Year Plan. But there are some proposed changes, including a new recycling service and a change to the sport and recreation centre catchment areas for Pirongia and Kaipaki and a new catchment area for Ohaupō to fund a purpose-built facility.
Waipā property owners are able to see exactly how the proposed rates rise could impact them, by checking their property via Council's online rates calculator.
The proposed rates rise is detailed in the Council's 2019/20 draft Annual Plan which includes Council's budget for the next financial year. The draft Plan marks year two of a decade-long plan adopted by Council last June.
The 2019/20 draft Annual Plan summary, full document and feedback form is available at waipadc.govt.nz/haveyoursay and in Council offices and libraries. Any feedback must be received by 5pm, 8 April 2019.
