Survey to test satisfaction
3 May 2016
Waipa District Council will survey residents this month to test satisfaction with its services.
The telephone survey is being undertaken by an independent research house. It will initially target 400 people picked at random with a further 100 residents surveyed each quarter on an ongoing basis.
The survey will test residents' perceptions around the environment and lifestyle associated with Waipa district, satisfaction with council services, leadership, financial management and value for money.
The staggered survey replaces a one-off survey, usually conducted each May. That survey had the potential to be heavily influenced by one-off events. Surveying more frequently will provide a more accurate reflection of any community concerns.
The research will be piloted this week before telephone interviews are conducted throughout May. The results will reported to Council soon afterwards and will be used to better plan council services.
