Voting documents out
Voting papers for Waipa District Council's election will start arriving in letterboxes today.
The papers will also include voting forms for the Waikato District Health Board and Waikato Regional Council.
Voters are encouraged to complete their voting papers early and return them using the freepost envelope provided. Papers can also be dropped off at Council offices in Cambridge or Te Awamutu.
Where you live, determines which ward you vote in and how many elected members you can vote for. Cambridge and Te Awamutu voters can vote for four councillors and four community board members. Voters in Maungatautari and Kakepuku can vote for one councillor and one community board member. Pirongia voters can vote for two councillors.
Everyone gets one mayoral vote. Voters can also vote for the Ng Tai ki Uta Mori Constituency Waikato Regional Councillor and Waikato District Health Board candidates.

Progress voting results are expected to be announced between noon and 3pm on Saturday 8 October and can be viewed online at www.waipadc.govt.nz/elections.
