Funding available for community boost
4 August 2016
Waipa community groups are being encouraged to apply for funding to support community projects.
The Community Discretionary Fund is administered by the Te Awamutu and Cambridge Community Boards and the Pirongia Ward Committee with the funds going towards organisations who provide local services or support for the benefit of the wider Waipa community.
Applications received are typically between $200 to $2000, but larger amounts are considered at the discretion of the boards/committee.
Projects previously funded have include the translocation of North Island Robin to Kakepuku, sports grounds lighting, playcentre fencing and playgrounds, murals and more.
Applications for funding close 31 August. Priority is given to those applying for community projects as opposed to operating costs with retrospective applications not being accepted.
