Funding boost for district creativity

Just over $24,000 has been injected into creative events and projects in Waipa.
The Waipa District Council administered Creative Communities Scheme (CCS) supports local arts and cultural events, projects and programmes thanks to Creative New Zealand funding.
The Cambridge Grants Committee received requests for $17,340 from nine applicants, with all receiving the total requested.
The Te Awamutu Grants Committee received requests for $8,490 from four applicants, with all receiving CCS's support to a total of $8,100.
The round will open again in September 2016 for Spring and Summer events and projects.
