There are two libraries in the Waipā District based in Cambridge and Te Awamutu. These libraries provide free membership to all Waipā residents and ratepayers and are run by a dedicated team of helpful staff.
Our libraries are well-stocked with books as well as newspapers, magazines, large print books, talking books, DVDs and e-books. They also offer useful services for the community such as internet access, photocopying, scanning facilities and digital training.
Visit the Waipa District Libraries website.
Programmes
During the year, both libraries provide a range of children's
programmes such as Wriggle and Rhyme, Toddler Time and Makerspace during term
time and a special Summer Reading programme over the long Christmas break. They
also run frequent events throughout the year such as author talks and book
events, heritage walks, reading challenges, crafting, fitness and wellness
event as well as various adult and children’s competitions.
Visit the Waipā Libraries website for more information on events and programmes.
