What is a Long Term Plan?
The Long Term Plan sets the direction for the district and is formally reviewed and updated every three years. It describes the activities of Council and shows the whole picture of how activities are managed, delivered and funded.
The last Long Term Plan was unique because it only needed to cover a nine-year period rather than the usual 10. This is because in 2024, instead of adopting a Long Term Plan to cover the period up to 2034, we opted to adopt a one-year Enhanced Annual Plan. Last time we consulted on the draft 2025-34 Long Term Plan was Friday, May 9 to June 9, 2025.
